Jose Mourinho confirms Luke Shaw will play against Young Boys

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed Luke Shaw will play against Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Shaw missed the 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday as a precaution after suffering a head injury while on international duty with England earlier this month.

However, the 23-year-old is set to return to United's starting line-up for the midweek trip to Switzerland at the expense of Ashley Young.

"Luke Shaw plays Wednesday," said Mourinho in his post-match interview at Vicarage Road.

"We can't do it with one left-back and Ashley Young is not just a left-back, he is also a right-back.

"They are both doing well, they are both different players and I think they both understand that one is a young player and the other is the experienced one and it is good for us to have these two options, plus Darmian.

"He is my emergency man, he is always ready for everything."

World Class Manchester United Line-up to beat Watford on Saturday

After another boring international break Manchester United fans will be desperate to see whether their team can continue to demonstrate the positive signs that were abundant in the last game against Burnley.

Manchester United had 21 shots during the game and flooded the opposition penalty area with bodies in a manner that we haven’t seen at United for the last five years.

And even after Marcus Rashford was sent off for his silly petulance Manchester United looked the team more likely to score another goal with Pogba and Lukaku linking brilliantly together up top. Jose Mourinho must make a note of the such positives and use them to his advantage moving forward.

TFF has been one of the Manchester United naysayers over the last couple of years, fearing that another managerial change would be required for the club to turn the corner.

But, even if its not as pretty as the football fo the other clubs, we now feel that Manchester United are about to go on a solid run of winning football games.

And why shouldn’t they with the world class squad that they have in place? Fears over the defence are wildly exaggerated and between Rojo, Jones, Smalling, Bailly and Lindelof United should have more than enough to cope with most opponents.

Further forward there are so many options. Fred needs to prove himself but Marouane Fellaini was excellent in his stead at Burnley. We’d like to see the Brazilian at Watford but sense that Jose might stick with the big Belgian.

And players such as Martial and Mata haven’t even had a sniff this term.

So here is our XI to take the points at high-flying Watford. The big doubt is whether Luke Shaw recovers in time to continue his excellent start to the season. His seven day mandatory rest after a concussion may, sadly, keep him out.

Jose Mourinho doesn't trust Marcus Rashford at Manchester United

Phil Thompson thinks Marcus Rashford's lack of game time at Manchester United is because of Jose Mourinho's lack of trust in the England striker.

Rashford has not started for United since the opening day of the season against Leicester, with Mourinho preferring Romelu Lukaku up front, but the 20-year-old featured twice for England during the international break.

He scored the winner for England against Switzerland on Tuesday night just three days after he scored the opening goal in the UEFA Nations League defeat by Spain.

Thompson thinks Rashford will have to make a big decision about his future next summer if his lack of action continues at Old Trafford.

"Marcus Rashford is a very talented boy," the Soccer Saturday pundit told Sky Sports News. "Is he going to fit in at Manchester United? I don't think so.

"I don't think there is trust from the manager to the player that he can do it on a regular basis. That is why he is only coming into the team now and again.

"He is only 20 years old and he probably needs a little more time, but I think this season is a big season for him. Come the end of the season he then has to make the decision.

"He's got to start playing regularly."

Rashford has featured in every position across the front three in his short United career so far and Thompson thinks Mourinho's lack of trust in the forward stems from him not knowing what his best position is.

Thompson added: "He has to analyse his game time this year but when you look at a manager to player relationship, I don't think there is total trust from the manager of whether he's a centre-forward, a left-sided player or a right-sided one.

"The big question will come down to Marcus. Not in January but next summer big questions will have to be asked."

Jerome Boateng explained the reason why he didn't join Manchester United

Jerome Boateng called Jose Mourinho as the Bayern Munich defender rejected the overtures of Manchester United as well as Paris St Germain over the summer.

The Red Devils boss had been desperate to reinforce his backline in the transfer window, with the 30-year-old among the players targeted.

Press Association Sport understands United had been keen to bring Boateng on loan rather than the permanent deal Bayern Munich had been looking for.

The Old Trafford giants had misgivings over his fitness, but the Germany international nipped any interest in the bud during a conversation with Mourinho.

"I had enquiries from Paris St Germain and Manchester United, and I considered them," he told Bild.

"Not because I wanted to leave Bayern Munich by all means. It was no escape, but rather the thrill of a new challenge.

"I feel completely content at Bayern, one of the biggest clubs in the world."

He added: "I phoned Jose Mourinho and told him that his interest honoured me and thanked him that he put his back into United for me.

"I explained to him my reasons for not joining.

"It's difficult to leave FC Bayern. Everything has to fall in place to top this club, if I do it."

Manchester United ready to spend €138M for Juventus Superstar

According to the Italian outlet, Calciomercato, Jose Mourinho is willing to spend 138 million euros for Juventus forward, Paulo Dybala.

Jose Mourinho's Manchester United has not started their season on a high note having registered 2 losses in 4 league games as they sit on the 10th spot in the EPL table. The Portuguese manager's future at Old Trafford is under speculations as Zinedine Zidane is being expected to take charge from him.

Amidst the unhealthy relationship with Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba has reportedly told the club that he wants to leave in the January transfer window providing them six months duration to search for his replacement.

If the French midfielder leaves the Old Trafford, he might like to join his old club Juventus who are looking stronger than ever with the inclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo to their roster.

This would allow the clubs to settle for a swap deal which would include Paulo Dybala and Paul Pogba trading clubs.

Paulo Dybala has been in a splendid form ever since joining Juventus in 2015. The Argentine forward has been a top target for many top European clubs including Real Madrid.

While it looks unlikely that the Juve forward would leave his club in the next transfer window, Paul Pogba's arrival at Allianz stadium might do the trick for Manchester United.

Juventus would not be willing to sell their star forward in mid-season. However, if the French midfielder chooses to join them, then they might want to sell Dybala to United and form an even more deadly duo with Pogba and Ronaldo.

The possibility for this deal to take place is very low, but if Pogba wishes to leave, Manchester United would surely spend 138 million euros to bring the Argentine home.
